Frequently asked

Can you start work without a field visit

Yes for a file review, provided you have field notes and photographs of the corridor. A route plan drafted without any ground observation is possible but flagged as desk-only, and we will say plainly which conclusions are unverified.

What should I include in a first message

The start and end of the corridor, the season of intended use, the party size, and the audience for the finished document. A rough map attachment helps but is not required. We will ask follow-up questions at the scoping call.

How quickly will I hear back

Messages received during business hours usually get a reply within one working day. During field weeks the bench is quiet until evening, so allow up to two days. Urgent scheduling questions are best handled by telephone at +18393430634.

Prefer to read the service sheets first

The services page sets out all six lines of work, the field process and what each deliverable contains. It is the best place to start before writing, and it answers most of the questions that arrive at the bench.
